The apartment was designed for a lovely couple and their two children who were looking for a quiet corner in the city, up-to-date atmosphere and maximum utilization of the space befitting the young family without focusing the design mostly on the children. The open black kitchen is the heart of the house, it folds into the living room and creates the continuity of the space with materiality and feel. The white fabric sofa, which is uncharacteristic for a home with children, contributes to the mature atmosphere. The shades of black and oak also recur in the formal dining area with wall cladding and an iron beam element which creates a separation between the corner and the adjacent entrance area. The parents’ bedroom was given special care and it was designed on the black and white purity with golden touches for a timeless classic look.
